The Coerver® Partner Club programme provides support for clubs in key areas including Coach Education, Session Planning, Player/team Development and online learning.
Based in Newton Mearns, St Cadocs was established in 1987, the club has continued to grow and development and now welcome players from across Renfrewshire. 160 players and coaches from 2009-2001 age groups will take part in the Coerver® programme. St Cadocs join Coerver® Pro Partner Clubs Scottish Giants Rangers FC, Portuguese Champions SL Benfica and EPL Stoke City as well as grassroots clubs from across Europe.
Coerver® Scotland Coaching Director Joe Jones said “We started working with St Cadocs back in 2014, working with 20-30 players. We are delighted that the club is now becoming an official Partner Club and opening the programme up across all age groups”.
“We work with many clubs across the country and feel our programme can give players and teams the skilful edge needed in the modern game.
It is great to watch training sessions and matches at our clubs and see players who are confident, creative, competitive and attack minded, as well as coaches who are letting players be the decision makers and allowing players to take risks. Our NEW Box Trap Curriculum shapes the work we do with Partner Clubs, building from individual skills, small group plays into a Team Style of Play.”
“We want players to be comfortable with the ball no matter their position, dominate the game with and without the ball and enjoy the game more”
The new programme kicks off on Sunday 9th October with Team Training sessions and a Coach education course. Follow our Facebook page for updates.
We will shortly be announcing our updated Partner Club and Club Development programme and inviting applications from suitable clubs to become a Coerver® Partner Club in 2017.
